A GLOBE is
map of Earth on sphere: a hollow sphere representing Earth and illustrated with the continents, seas, and islands, especially one showing and labeling the countries
Earth: the planet Earth
hollow spherical object: a rounded hollow object, especially one made of glass, e.g. a cover for a lamp, or a goldfish bowl
A BULB is
| 1. | underground plant part: an underground plant storage organ, e.g. a corm, tuber, or rhizome, from which a new plant grows every year |
| 2. | plant growing from bulb: a plant that develops from a bulb or other underground storage organ, e.g. a tulip or crocus |
| 3. | electricity Same as light bulb |
It is suprising that some people still refer to electricity/ light bulb as a globe!
This is wrong. The two words are different.
